Learn about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders at "FASD 101"

"FASD 101" will be presented by Raina Haralampopoulos on Tuesday, August 21st from 6-8pm at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Plover, WI.  Raina will provide many resources for foster and adoptive parents, since she is an Outreach Specialist with the WI. FASD Treatment Outreach Project through UW-Madison Department of Family Medicine.  This is a FREE training where certificates of attendance will be available to all who attend. Join Catholic Charities Friends of Adoption Post Adoption Resource Center for an evening of food, prizes and good company!  We will be hosting a picnic for adoptive families at Doepke Shelter on Thursday, June 14th from 5-7pm.  Hotdogs and drinks will be provided at 5:30pm.  PLEASE rsvp and remember to bring a dish to share.  Doepke Rec Area is located at 2200 S. Central WI. Foster & Adoptive Parent Association Family Event

Calling all foster and/or adoptive families! Catholic Charities Friends of Adoption is helping to spread the word that there will be a FREE family event on Sunday, May 20th.  From 4-6:30pm there will be acitivities and food at the Faith Reformed Church in Wisconsin Rapids.  Sandwiches and drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring a dish to pass if you'd like.  The church address is 1321 32nd St.  See you there!

Marshfield Cultural Fair

Join Catholic Charities in Marshfield, WI on Saturday February 25th at the 8th Annual Marshfield Cultural Fair. The fair will be held at the UW-Marshfield/Wood County Campus (2000 West 5th St) from 10am-4pm. The fair will offer music, dance, international foods, arts, crafts, cultural displays and more. Adoption Tax Tips Workshop

Do you have questions about how the adoption credit could reduce your taxes? Wondering which adoption expenses qualify and which ones don't? Join Friends of Adoption for a FREE workshop on Adoption Tax Tips on Thursday, January 12th. This workshop will be held from 6-8pm at 356 S. 18th Ave in Wausau. Hope for Children: Conference on Adoption, Foster & Global Care

Register now for the Hope for Children Conference and concert featuring the "Living River Quartet". This event will be held Sunday, November 13th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Plover, WI.

2011 International Picnic

Join us on Thursday, June 16th from 4:30-6:30 at Carson Park's Oak Pavilion in Eau Claire for our 3rd annual International Families Picnic!  We will provide hotdogs, drinks, and utensils -- just bring your family and a dish to share.  There will be games, crafts, food, and fun!

Prior to the picnic, a new group of families with children from Ethiopia will be gathering at the Oak Pavilion at 4:00 to meet and play soccer.

In addition to the fun of the picnic, Genesis Photography will be there providing special $35 mini-sessions for families!  See the flyer for details.
